Former journalist and television presenter, now CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce in Slovenia – AmCham Slovenia and Vice President of AmChams Europe.

Why did you decide to accept the role of Ambassador of the Women’s EHF EURO 2022?

Heartfelt support for events at the highest level, which bring maximum energy to Slovenia, and at the same time show how great hosts and organizers we can be is close to me. Enriching sports and business with a feminine note is a great way to promote Slovenia.

Why is it worth fighting for a greater role for women in society?

I don’t think we are fighting, but leading by example and highlighting great practices by showing that the intertwining of both, male and female principles in society, is a winning combination for sustainable development.

How important is the concept of sustainable development in your everyday life?

I believe in the principles of the ESG: environment, society and governance (meritocracy and transparency). For me, these principles are the basis of true business management, so I believe that all of us who are part of management should act in accordance with them.

What do you think are the main parallels between sports and business?

Perseverance, focus, fair play, determination, flexibility. Above all, connected and well-coordinated teams are key to achieving top results. Whether it is a group or individual sport.

What is your attitude towards sports and especially handball?

Sport is an important part of my life, it gives me the opportunity to relax and connect. I love tennis and dancing. I fight with the wind on the surf. I watch handball as a supporter, especially when our top handball players are playing.

Which of the ambassadors do you know best and which do you appreciate?

I appreciate and respect everyone. However, I am honored that two of them belong to the inner circle of those most important ladies for me, whom I call friends.
