Rules and conditions

  1. General provisions

The organizer of the selection of volunteers (hereinafter volunteers) is the Handball Federation of Slovenia, Leskoškova 9e, 1000 Ljubljana (hereinafter RZS). The purpose of the selection is the participation of the candidates in the preparations and in the European women’s handball championship, WOMEN’S EHF Euro 2022, which will be held from November 4 to 20, 2022, in Celje and Ljubljana.

  1. Neutral grammar form

The terms used in these terms and conditions written in the masculine grammatical form are used as neutral for men and women.

  1. Presentation of the work areas

Within the framework of the European Women’s Handball Championship, WOMEN’S EHF Euro 2022, we have selected areas in which volunteers in Celje and Ljubljana will be able to participate:

  • Promotion
  • Competition
  • Media
  • Accreditations
  • IT
  • Logistic
  • Team attache
  • Sustainability
  • Support to the organization

RZS will first consider the desired selection unless it turns out that we need a larger number of volunteers in certain areas.

  1. Schedule of volunteers’ work

In areas such as team liaison and transport, work can start two days before and end the day after the championship.

The total presence of volunteers must be at least six days.

  1. How to apply?

Volunteers must fill out an application form, which will be published on the RZS website and on social media. All those who fill out the application form within the specified period will be included in the selection. In the application form, they must also enter their personal data and a valid email address.

  1. Application conditions – age

Volunteers who will turn 18 on September 30, 2022 can apply for work.

Exceptionally, younger candidates (members of younger handball teams) who will perform tasks on the competition court can also apply. Access declarations are signed by administrators.

The selection will take place untill volunteer needs will be fullfiled for both arenas Celje and Ljubljana in the period from September 5, 2022 to September 30, 2022. After the applications are completed, a short training session will be organized for all candidates (probably via Zoom). You will be notified of the selection via email by 7 October 2022.

  1. Data protection

RZS will use personal data of volunteers exclusively for the purpose of informing about the result of the selection. RZS guarantees that the data provided by the participants will not be used in violation of the legislation of the Republic of Slovenia.

  1. Rights and obligations of the RZS

RZS will insure volunteers against accidents for the duration of their volunteer work in accordance with Article 29 of the Act on Volunteering.

RZS undertakes to provide the volunteer with basic equipment. After the championship, the equipment remains the property of the volunteer.

RZS does not guarantee reimbursement of costs for accommodation and any kind of transport to the volunteer.

RZS undertakes to provide volunteers with a hot meal on the day of the competition.

RZS is obliged to issue a certificate of volunteer work at the volunteer’s request.

  1. Rights and obligations of a volunteer

The volunteer undertakes to contribute with his work, knowledge and experience to the improvement of the organization of the Women’s EHF Euro 2022.

The volunteer undertakes to perform volunteer work in accordance with professional standards and ethical rules, as well as the instructions received from the representatives of the RZS, who organize the volunteer work.

The volunteer agrees to perform all work within the Women’s EHF Euro 2022 free of charge.

The volunteer undertakes to wear the equipment intended for volunteers during the performance of work tasks.

The volunteer undertakes to attend training before the championship.

  1. Other provisions

RZS does not assume any responsibility for:

  • non-functioning access to the RZS website and other social media
  • failure of the platform on which the application form is prepared
  • non-functioning access resulting from incorrect use or ignorance of the use of the services
  • access failure resulting from network outages, power outages or other technical disruptions
  • the RZS representative is responsible for interpreting the rules, and by registering, the volunteer accepts these rules and agrees with them

The results of the selection are final and there is no objection against them under these rules.

In the event of violations or alleged violations of the conditions stated in these rules, each participating RZS and/or third parties is responsible for all the resulting damage, and in this case, the RZS reserves the right to not allow the volunteer and/or to exclude him/her at any time during the events without any obligation. from continued cooperation.

RZS does not assume any responsibility for any unwanted consequences that a volunteer may suffer as a result of participating in the selection.

RZS does not bear any costs incurred by volunteers as a result of participating in the selection.

The decision of the RZS on all issues related to the selection and related rules is final and applies to all participants.

RZS reserves the right to change the rules if this is required by reasons of a technical or commercial nature or reasons on the part of the public.

RZS reserves the right to cancel or cancellation of the selection or changes to the rules if this is required for reasons of a technical or commercial nature or for reasons on the part of the public. RZS will inform the participants about all changes and novelties of the competition via social media networks.

RZS reserves the right to inform about other activities of the organization to the e-mail address provided during registration.

The rules and conditions of participation in the selection apply from 20 April 2022 onwards and are published on the RZS website during the selection period.
