Zlatorog Arena, The Home Of Handball
Zlatorog Hall is a multi-purpose sports hall that seats approximately 6,000 spectators and is intended primarily for team sports activities at the national and European level. In the Hudinja district of Celje, it is accompanied by the Z’dežele football stadium. It is adorned with exceptional acoustics, which ardent fans from the most handball city in Slovenia always use to create a hot atmosphere during the matches of the home handball club Celje Pivovarna Laško and the Slovenian national team.
The stands of the Zlatorog arena saw one of the greatest successes of Slovenian handball in the club and national team field. The sports hall, built before the start of the 2004 European Handball Championship, hosted the Slovenian national team in the group matches of the 2013 European Basketball Championship.
