Morača Sports Centre

The Morača Sports Centre is the oldest of all four venues that will host the Women’s EHF Euro 2022 in November. However, due to its history, it has a rich tradition. It first opened its doors in 1978 for a friendly basketball match between the Yugoslav national team and the Wichita State University and is still home to basketball. Budućnost VOLI basketball club plays there regularly but handball performances are not foreign to this arena, named after a famous river in Montenegro as the women’s handball club Budućnost plays under the same roof.

After hosting a part of group stages at EuroBasket 2005 it is time that Morača Sports Centre becomes a synonym for a great handball venue as well.
